Trails Skied: 1, 2, 6, 8, 12, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

Conditions were much better than I had expected. Last night's freezing rain must have had some snow mixed in, as the surface is like white sugar, but not loose. It's soft enough to be responsive and give pretty good control though, even where no classic tracks are made. The snow is pretty fast, downhills were fun but not scary, lots of control. Classic tracks are still present over most of trail 1 and 8, mostly missing elsewhere. Where the classic tracks are present the conditions for classic are 4.5 flakes, really nice. Not much debris, although the deer have been more incontinent than usual.

Kanata Nordic

Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).

The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.

Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
