Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Gatineau Pkwy, #7, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: -10 to -18

ROUTE: From P6 on 7 out to a brief jaunt up the Champlain Parkway and down to Pink Lake on the Gatineau Parkway. And back.

CLASSIC: The tracks were good in some places and a bit weak in others. There are lots of leaves in the tracks up 7. Overall the tracks are fine and the skiing was good. Light green wax (-10 to -18) worked really well though it slowed down a bit at some points in the shade.

SKATE: The skate track looked hard and fast with some churned up snow.

TRAFFIC: P6 was not that full (less than half) at 11 or 1. It was cold but layers really worked and the wind was not a big issue.
