Trails Skied: 1, 2, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12a, 12b, 12, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

Skated all 401 trails in both directions. It was no surprise that at -18C they were squeaky slow in both directions. Conditions are faster on trails that have seen more traffic. Trail 2 down to Corkstown and connection to 401 was softer but in good shape.

A bit of a gouge in center of skate trail but nothing too significant. What I could see of classic tracks in the dark looked good.

Outdoor temperature was -18c but felt like 25c at my base layer. Get out and enjoy

Kanata Nordic

Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).

The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.

Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
