Trails Skied: 1, 2, 6, 8, 12, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

It was around -19 while I was out, but with warm layers and the shelter of the trees on the upper trails, the weather was not a problem. The glide was a little slow with it being so cold, and the winds had blown a lot of oak leaves onto the trails in places. The trails were half-groomed during the snowfall yesterday, so all the upper trails had been rolled, but no classic tracks laid yet when I was out between 3 and 4 pm. Half the parking lot had been plowed out, no risk of getting stuck.

Kanata Nordic

Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).

The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.

Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
