Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, #1 Penguin Climb, #1, #3, Glide Wax: LF 6 (blue), Grip Wax: K19 covered with Green fluor

Fabulous, scenic and hilly ski - Penguin, Ridge to #3, Burma to Fortune and back down Penguin.

It was a lovely ski in every way, despite being extremely slow. Our skis kept icing up until we reached the high point on Ridge. As the temperatures moderated the wax improved. It snowed most of the time we were out, and it was tempting to stop continually to take photos (I resisted)

We didn't check the grooming report before leaving home, but correctly figured out that no grooming had been done before the new snow: on both the Penguin and final Burma descents the snow had been been scraped down to ice.

Craig's report from P17 pretty much sums up how we also found today's skiing. It was a most enjoyable outing.
