A powder day! We haven't had many of these this year!
Skated most of the lower field trails. Nothing is groomed, yet. A good 5 cm of perfect white fluff on a hard base makes for pretty good conditions. The classic tracks are skied in - looks like grip and glide are easy to find.
Dr Ski says you need to get out this afternoon/evening before it gets all Arctic this weekend.
Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).
The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.
Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
