Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, #1, #1B, Glide Wax: CH5, Grip Wax:

I repeated yesterday\'s skate run from P10 up the FLP to Ridge Road, west on Ridge Road and 1B to the Western bench, then back on 1A and Ridge, but today I continued east on Ridge to the top of Penguin before returning to P10. Everywhere the skate lane had a freshly groomed powder surface and the classic tracks were generally firm and deep. Even the sharp turn in the Khyber Pass was powdery. Skating was a bit slow due to the cold powder, but control was perfect. Classic skiers were motoring along with no wax problems. Even on this Monday afternoon P10 was nearly full when I arrived. Conditions don\'t get much better than this!
