Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #2 (blue), #2 (from #40 to #1), #9, #40, #18, #20, #21, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: green v20 with blue kicker

I think Joanne would have liked the snow on the groomed trail we took, but maybe not the back country ones! Not too many people at P8 or P12 today. Air temp was -15C and it was a bit windy, but as soon as we got moving we forgot about that. It was a beautiful sunny day. trail 2 was firm with no gritty bits. Back country trails 21, 20, 18 and trail 9 had loads of snow and the downhill runs were easy. Scenery was beautiful (see pics). I recommend heading out this weekend as I am sure it will be excellent skiing. Just make sure you cover your mouth with a balaclava or scarf at the start of your climbs so you don't inhale the extra cold air. If you are using P12, remember the return run will require care.
