Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #6, #22, #34, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: Blue

We finally have enough snow to get on narrow and winding trails like #34, #22 & #6 without hitting rocks. There were just enough skiers that have groomed these trails to be fast and fun. But not too many that down hill sections still have plenty of snow for control. A few sections have large oak leaves in the tracks. I am surprised that they didn't catch me more than they did. More snow would make one of the steep downhill bends on #6 less harrowing. The one lake #34 is on seems to be soild to ski on. This 10km route s mostly sheltered and perfect for a day with wind chill of -18c.
