Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Gatineau Pkwy, #5 (green), #27, #29 (alternative), #29 (shared), Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

A quick morning ski before going to work. Did a loop of various trails in the lower part of the park starting out of Asticou. Everything had been freshly groomed overnight - likely in the wee hours of the morning as the temperature started to drop. The base was firm and fast having set up since the groomer was by. It was windy with some light snow was still falling. In open areas the snow was slightly drifting over the new grooming and filling the classic tracks but never to a great extent. In the trees conditions were excellent. Gonna be cold for the next few days but the skiing should be great if you have enough layers.
