Conditions were great around noon, when I was out for a quick ski on the lower trails. No fresh grooming, but that is a feature and not a bug, as the base is still ice, so today's few centimetres of perfect fluffy snow made for wonderful conditions, grooming would have just scraped it off. The skier-made classic tracks were good. The icy base still pokes through here and there, which made for a four-flake outing rather than a five. I wish it wasn't forecast to warm up so much and rain.

Kanata Nordic

Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).

The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.

Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
