Gatineau Park
Trails Skied: #1 Penguin Climb, #6, #19, #34, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:
Environment Canada was very wrong on the weather prediction today. I was expecting rain at 7:00 am and finally went out at 9:30 with it still below freezing. I just did the Penguin climb and the short loop on top - 19, 34, 6. Lots of people skiing; I even met some on the little trails. The snow was turning to sticky at times. Good coverage throughout and a fast descent on #1.
Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
