Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Gatineau Pkwy, Champlain Pkwy, Glide Wax: -3 to -10, Grip Wax:

RESUBMITTING THIS WITH PICTURE.

ROUTE: P5 up the Gatineau Parkway to Pink then back to the Champlain T and up to Mackenzie King and back.

CLASSIC: As the picture shows, there was a fair bit of debris pretty much everywhere. Having said that it was not a huge problem - it would stop you up occasionally but not horribly. The blue (-3 to -10) wax worked very well. The tracks were well-formed and solid. They got a little bit shallow in some places but for the most part they were quite good.

SKATE: The skate track looked very hard and very icy in places. There would have been lots of glide but very, very little control. There was absolutely no new grooming. I was happy to go classic today.

TRAFFIC: Very, very few people out today. There were just 2 cars in P5 at 1. It was cold but not that bad.
