Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #1, #1 (green) (#2 - #24), #1 (blue), Glide Wax: Rode GL 40, Grip Wax: Rode special violet klister covered with Rode TLine VPS

The Gatineau Park was popular with good snow, fresh grooming and mild weather this morning! We stuck to trail 1/Ridge Road. Classic tracks were deep and firm (but set quite far right, so the right pole didn't always have a firm surface to push off of). Classic grip could be tricky at these temps with a mix of dryer snow at higher elevations or out of the tracks on climbs, and some glazed tracks, but Rode Special Violet klister covered with Rode TLine VPS worked well (a little icing out of the tracks but it was easy to stride it off).

Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery. The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
