Gatineau Park
Trails Skied: #50, Glide Wax: seasnonal hot wax, Grip Wax: hairies
Started out on #50 with my klistered rock skis but was immediately grounded by clumping. Temps were in the +1 range with fresh damp snow so violet was probably the better wax. Went back to the car and got out my waxless hairies which saved the day. Nicely formed classic tracking with some unevenness here and there. Hard to tell if the grooming was fresh due to the crowds out skiing. P16 was almost full to capacity.
Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
