Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #50, Glide Wax: Swix hydrocarbon blue, Grip Wax: Skin skis

Today we skied classic from P16 to the intersection with 52 and back. Conditions were excellent, with the New Year's Eve snowfall perfectly groomed. Classic tracks were deep with a powdery base, and the skate lane looked in great shape (no Demsis ridge!). There was lots of fresh snow on the long hill above P16, so the descent on the return trip was easily controlled with no hint of ice underfoot. There were no rocks visible on the trail anywhere. Although we did not check out 52, based on what we could see at the intersection grooming looked good. Similarly 36 had been groomed, and the part we could see at the intersection with 50 looked good. It's great to finally be able to ski the 50's!
