Kanata Nordic

Trails Skied: 101 North, 102, 103, 104, 106, 107, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: Waxless

The campground side is closed so the only trails are from the Equestrian centre parking. There has been no recent grooming but all the trails in the open and on wide trails; 101, 102, 103, 104 are perfectly good (fair anyway) with waxless skis (as in the photo), though it is quite thin in places. The narrow trails in the woods; 106 and 107 have bare patches with quite a few rocks showing (hence the overall rating). Still it was warm and the sun was shining so well worth it.

Kanata Nordic

Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).

The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.

Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
