Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, Champlain Pkwy, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

ROUTE: Up Fortune Lake Parkway from P10 to the Champlain Parkway and over to the Lookout and on to the first bench on Ridge (1).

SKATE: Fantastic conditions on a hard surface with just enough loose snow to give you good control. The only thing keeping this from being a 5 flake day is the hard ridges from grooming which can throw you off a bit as well as the leaves that are still troublesome in some places.

CLASSIC: The tracks were deep, solid and relatively leaf free, but there were some spots where it was difficult to avoid the fallen foliage.

WEATHER: It was cold but the wind had died down a fair bit in the afternoon.
