Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Gatineau Pkwy, Glide Wax: Storage, probably violet, Grip Wax:

Just a 40 minute ski to reacquaint my joints and muscles with the concept of skate skiing. The coverage was adequate (except under the bridge of course) and it felt good to be skating again. Unlike P10 yesterday, though, there were a few small bare spots, easily avoided, and it was generally a bit icier as well. The oak leaves had been busy here, too. Perhaps that is good news as there will be fewer eaves to fall later. Conditions weren't my very favorite, so I decided to keep the ski short and save energy for the new snow predicted for tomorrow. Fingers crossed that we have the 15 cm that is rumoured for Ottawa.
