Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

Conditions have deteriorated quite a bit in two days. On the Fortune Parkway the yellow line was visible in many places, it was necessary to walk on grass (or remove skis) in a couple of places and the snow is getting dirtier and dirtier. Water is flowing beneath the snow in several spots, and there are a few impressively deep potholes formed by the water. While I was out, there were about as many bike riders as skiers (you could count either group on one hand) as well as a few walkers. The skiing may be coming to an end! It has been a great season considering the unpredictable precipitation and fluctuating temperatures we had this year. Thank you to Demsis for their dedication and excellent trail grooming! Without their almost daily attention to the trails it would have been a different winter altogether.
