Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, Champlain Pkwy, #1, #1 (green) (#2 - #24), #1 (blue), Glide Wax: Rode GLF Green, Grip Wax: N.A.

After a full week of great skiing, this morning's conditions - while making it possible to ski if you really want to- could only be described as poor. No grooming took place overnight or this morning, so the result, for the most part, is a rutted and icy challenge. We skied all the way out to the Fire Tower from P10 anyway because it was a rare day where we had time. Conditions improved as we got farther out because less skiing took place and there were consequently less ruts. While very hard and fast, the skating was pretty reasonable past the Tawadina lookout. Before that the only thing that felt comfortable was double poling in the tracks. Don't let this discourage you! If we get the snow we are supposed to, tomorrow could be great.
