Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, #1, #1B, #2 (blue), #1 (green) (#2 - #24), #9, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: silver klister

A nice morning out. Air temp 0C on departure from an almost full P10 at 0910 and 6C on our return. As Harris advised yesterday, best skiing is early. FLP was being regroomed at 0930 so tracks were immaculate. Trail 1 was in good shape up to Shilly Shally, then ungroomed and so-so to 1b, then very good from CP to 24, which is where we turned then headed down 2 to Western Shelter. Trail 9 was so-so and 1b was marginally better. Tracks were starting to soften which meant our run down Khyber was quite pleasant. Return down the glazed classic tracks on FLP was nice and fast, apart from a couple of hiccups halfway down. I know lots of folks have already said nice things about Demsis, but I have to say they have been doing a fantastic grooming job for four months now, as well as keeping the cabins shipshape all along. Although the skiing is coming to an end, it has been a fantastic season.
