April 8th Skate skiing past the Lusk intersection on the 50 was amazing for this time of year. I was actually skating uphill on my trek back to P19 from just beyond the Heritage Cabin. Fast track made it fun. Had to pay attention for ice patches and debris. Cloud cover maintained snow temp though my ride. What an awsone day! Had the tail all to myself
Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
