Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #50, #54 (green), Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: waxless

P19 was full when I got there at noon, with the temperature around 0 and a light snow falling. Fresh grooming made for deep classic tracks on 50 and 54, with new snow that was mostly powdery with only a few slushy spots on 50. No real icy spots anywhere, which made for easy climbs and effortless descents on 54 to Lusk and back. Pavement was coming through in a few spots on 55 between 50 and the Renaud Cabin, with one large spot just up the hill from 50. A little bit of clumping snow around Lusk Cabin, but I only had to clean my skis twice. Lots of skiers out, and the fire was going nicely at Lusk Cabin. One of the best skiing days of the year.
