Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, #1, #1B, #3, #9, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: blue extra

Left P10 at 0930 after waiting a a few minutes for a parking spot. Air temp -2C. FLP was in beautiful shape and 1 was very good, even at Khyber. All groomed classic tracks were deep, glazed and fast; blue extra wax worked well. We went up a very scenic 3 with the fresh snow en route to Western. The skis did clump-up on the climb from FLP, with a bit of snow removal work required at the top. After that climb, there was no further problem. Trail 1b(ungroomed)was in very nice shape with the fresh snow, as was trail 9 on the run down to Western. The return trip was up 9, then fast conditions on 1b to 1 and then to FLP. All in all, a beautiful day in the hills. Lots of people on FLP, not so many elsewhere, but we did see a herd of skiers heading along 21 to join 3 as we were heading west. Let's hope the conditions continue for a few days.
