Wow! A transformation since yesterday's wet snow and the previous thaw! And it's the first time I've ever had an ice cream headache in April. I did short stint of classic followed by a skate.
The north loop and the Gatineau Parkway to Penguin were in wonderful shape. Classic did boast some extremely icy tracks, but my binder held at least for the 45 minutes I was out, and at least the tracks were mostly well formed!!. Skating conditions were great and although there were ice patches here and there, what Demsis managed to do was really miraculous. Very fast conditions but mostly not too icy.
