Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, Champlain Pkwy, #1, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: three day old silver klister overlaid with violet

Left an almost full P10 at 1030, air temp -2C. The skiing was very pleasant compared with a few days ago, and my less than excellent wax job actually worked on the climb from P10. Classic tracks were nice and deep, but very icy in places and the odd deciduous leaf in the tracks (see pic). No evidence of fresh snow despite today's weather forecast. Both FLP and CP were in good condition and lots of skiers, both classic and skate, were taking advantage of that. Trail 1 was a bit messy en route to Shilly Shally, then icy along to and half-way up Khyber. Descent on Khyber definitely not recommended; it's very dangerous - we saw a guy come down and he only just avoided a high speed wipe-out on the last two curves.
