Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, #1B, #1 (green) (#2 - #24), #1 (blue), Glide Wax: Swix Blue LF6, Grip Wax: n/a

Snow conditions continue to be outstanding and the grooming in generally good with a few exceptions described below. The snow was surprisingly cold and slow this morning, particularly on the LF6 glide I'd chosen, which made for a bit of a slog. But that's no complaint when one considers that often the slog at this time of year is due to slushy snow. More evidence on the trail-side out toward McKinstry, of beavers hard at work harvesting trees while the snow is still around. Be wary on the downhill turns of 4" to 6" high snow ridges on the inside curves caused by the groomer. There was at least one bad tumble into the trees today when a ski caught one of the ridges.
