Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, #1, #3, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: blue extra v40

Left a half full P10 at 10:30, returned at an overflowing P10 at 13:30. Air temp was -11C when we departed and -3C on return. Conditions were perfect, both tracks and weather, although the wind was icy at the start. Lost my cellphone and realized that halfway up the big hill on 3; raced back down, chased down a skier who had found it, but then lost my spouse for the next 15 minutes. Back up the FLP again to 3 and the trail was the best I'd experienced this season. The grip wax was perfect. We stopped at Huron Shelter for a snack and returned on 3 and the FLP. Lots of evidence of back country activity on all trails off 3, including some swamp ski and snowshoe activity on unmarked trails. All in all, one of the best skis of the season, and more to come this week, I think.
