Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #1 Penguin Climb, #6, #19, #34, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

Took the Penguin climb to the 19 - 34 - 6 loop. Both the groomed trail #1 and the backcountry trails were excellent. We have mid-winter conditions with more reasonable temperatures and great sun. it is a good time to ski.

Jo-Ann, we have different opinions on tracking the steeper hills. For me, the downhills are the reward for the climb. I like to lay a set of turns on the steeper pitches. If there is a track laid, that leaves less room for play. There is no right answer on this issue but I, for one, am happy when there is no track on those slopes.
