Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #2 (blue), #2 (from #40 to #1), Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: recommend waxless skis

left P12 at 0935 and the klister was a handicap - we didn't have to herringbone anywhere on the way up 40 and 2, which is a dubious record for me. The wet, fresh snow was a challenge pretty well all the way up as it was clumping on the skis. Only one person had gone up ahead of us some time earlier, with a fair amount of fresh snow partly covering their track. Downhill runs were okay as soon as the clumps came off. A skier we met outside Western Shelter was on waxless skis, which was definitely the way to go this morning. The last descent to the shelter had a fair amount of snow cover, but there are a couple of rocks showing.
