Lots of people out enjoying the very good ski conditions (or maybe getting a ski in before the freezing drizzle?) A few spots in the campground trails have lost their classic track. Looks like there's been a lot of traffic around the loops - not a bad thing! The skate lane looks perfect.

The lower trails look like they've been rolled but not track set. In particular, 107 (little rollercoaster) is skiing really well, even without a track.

Skate in the fields, classic in the campground seems to be the setup.

Oh yeah - if you have a pair of slightly wider skis, #11 (marked as "backcountry" - i.e. not machine groomed) is a fun little jaunt. There's enough snow cover to bury the logs - only one or two places where you need to sidestep over an obstacle.

Kanata Nordic

Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).

The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.

Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
