Kanata Nordic

Trails Skied: 100, 101 North, 102, 103, 104, 106, 107, TCT, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

Skied almost all of the lower trails in beautiful conditions early this evening. Trails looked like they had been groomed earlier in the day, but with the snow falling fairly steadily, there was a good layer of new snow to ski through (maybe 5cm?). Overall, there is now enough base that everything looks great, even the Little Rollercoaster (aka trail 107). I skated so not sure how classic skiing was, but the tracks looked good.

These are the type conditions where I feel like I could ski forever - snow melting on my face, solid glide and a layer of snow for good control. Sadly, my body is a limiting factor these days.

Kanata Nordic

Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).

The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.

Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
