Kanata Nordic

Trails Skied: 8, 101 North, 102, 103, 104, 106, TCT, Glide Wax: CH5 (maybe?), Grip Wax:

Beautiful night for a ski. Lower trails are all in good shape, though I didn't loop around the 107 (no light - you don't really need one for most of the field trails). 106 (my favourite of the lower trails) is skiing really well in both directions. TCT is in good shape, and the 101 (main field) is groomed wide for skate. Classic track is solid all around.

Bonus to skiing at Kanata Nordic during a Sens game... you know when the game is over by looking at the 417 traffic going east as you're gliding around the trails.

Kanata Nordic

Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).

The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.

Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
