Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #40, #1 (blue), Glide Wax: CH7, Grip Wax: skin skis

I'm guessing there was 15cm of fresh snow on the ground (and more falling) when we departed P12 for McKinstry around 10AM. There was no sign of grooming anywhere on the route up 40, along 24 and then out on 1 to McKinstry. Any machine-set tracks from the grooming three days away were barely visible under the blanket of new snow. Fortunately three other skiers had made tracks ahead of us, so the trip wasn't quite as much of a slog as it might have been. It was still a slow trek through the thick fresh snow, particularly on the climbs. Fortunately the fire was roaring at McKinstry and we had a chance to dry out before heading back. I used my skin skis in the near-zero temperatures and freshly falling snow, and they worked really well.
