Kanata Nordic
Still had to park at P3. The parking lot at 411 Corkstown Rd. still hasn't been plowed out. Conditions were great, with fresh grooming on most trails. However, some parts of trail 1 had only skate grooming, and much of 12-blue had only rough preliminary grooming, with no skate later or classic track laid, the groomer must have run out of time before he finished. The snow was so nice though that it really wasn't a problem.
Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).
The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.
Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
