Trails Skied: Stadium, Classic Loop, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: 1- to -7
CLASSIC: The tracks were starting to get blown away and covered over with the new now. Conditions changed considerably in the hour we were out. We got some good glide for the first half and then things started to slow down as the temperatures increased. Some of the pine needles and leaves etc. that were blown out of the trees over the last few days show up from time to time and cause some drag but quite rarely.
SKATE: Today would not have been a good day to skate because of the new snow. There had been grooming but it was covered by the time we went out.
TRAFFIC: There were about 5 or 6 groups out when we went. We had to change lanes or step out a couple of times.
Mooney's Bay offers skiing inside the Ottawa city limits! There are 5.5 km of groomed trails for classic and skate with some portions lit at night. Perfect for after work. Perfect for the entire family. To view course offerings: Ottawa 2021/2022 Recreation Registration Page.

The indoor facility will be open from mid December through early March (weather permitting), at the following times: 9 am to 9 pm Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm Saturday and Sunday.
