Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #53, Glide Wax: Green leftover from yesterday. , Grip Wax: Blue minus 5 - minus 10

Minus 8! I had almost forgotten how to wax for anything so blue! P17 was packed with cars and there was nice grooming. There was, however, quite a bit of debris and dirt in the tracks and some muddy ice chunks in the skate lane. Also at least one rock in the tracks. I had my beautiful good skis and would have enjoyed the skiing thoroughly if I had brought my rock skis. And I would have gone a lot further, too! The snow, based on poles shoved into the woods, seems to be about 14 inches deep, so it was surprising to see such a dirty trail. We need a 50 cm dump!
