Gatineau Park
Trails Skied: Champlain Pkwy, Champlain Pkwy, MacKenzie-King Rd , Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: VR50
Early afternoon classic ski from P6 to Champlain. Decent coverage pretty much everywhere, although the pavement shows under the tracks here and there. A layer of icy snow covering the asphalt however avoids shredding the skis. Overall, a much more pleasant ski than I anticipated. The skating looked ok too. Unfortunately, probably too thin a coverage to resist the positive temperatures later in the week.
Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
