Fortune Parkway and Ridge Road: I skied with 2 others today and we all found the conditions good, especially considering how little snow there has been in the last while, how long the temperatures have hovered above and below zero and how depressingly damp the weather was today. One small item - and this is one we have consistently noticed all week - skaters are blatantly disregarding the single classic track on Fortune and on the Champlain Parkway. With soft snow this turns into a series of minor bumps which make for unpredictable grip. It was better today than yesterday, as conditions were icier, but come on skaters - smarten up!
