Went for an hour long skate this morning. Kudos to the groomers at Mooney's who were able to get the stadium and track loops into really good condition. Unfortunately, the beach loop was in poor condition - it was very icy, rutted and there was a lot of rubbish along the trail. Until there is new snow it is going to be difficult to get the park sections into good shape but the three track loops still provide a good workout. The classic tracks looked shallow and very icy but there were a lot of people out enjoying the day. Overall, considering the weather we have had over the past week, the staff at Mooney's Bay should be commended for the solid work they have put in to getting the facility up to the level it is at now.

The indoor facility will be open from mid December through early March (weather permitting), at the following times: 9 am to 9 pm Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm Saturday and Sunday.
