Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #2 (blue), #1 (green) (#2 - #24), #40, #1 (blue), Glide Wax: Vauhti violet, Grip Wax:

Echoing comments of others - gorgeous day for a ski and everything was in fine shape. Got up early enough to enjoy it in spite of the reduced sleep. Skied out of P12 and went up 40 & 2 to Ridge then out to the Tower and back. Everything was well groomed and getting a lot of use. Lot's of people out getting a last firetower mission (or run to McKinstry, or maybe just enjoying the sun at the Wolf bench - we all win!) in the books and going early to enjoy the fast snow. My wax (violet) was too warm when I started, then just right, then too cold... but can't complain too much when you can ski in shirt sleeves. By the time I turned around @11 or so the sun was starting to get the exposed snow a little slushy but that made the descents even nicer. Lots of stems and tele's down 2 to close out the ski. Should be much the same for tomorrow for those that can ditch work for a morning ski.
