Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #50, #51, #52, #53, #57, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

Spring is here!!!! My route was from P17=> #53=>#52=>#57=>#52=>#50=>#51=>#53=>P17. I decide on the Wakefield triangle today going clockwise. Even at 11 am the trails in the sun were getting quite soft. The best part was on #52 it had been freshly groomed with no traffic on it, and a lot of the trail is through the woods so the track was still fast.

The slowest part was past the junction of #55 and #50 where its nothing but sun until P19, many overnight campers were heading back mostly walking. Trail #51 was the worst , the classic tracks pretty well non existent, icy patches here and there and places were another week and the trail will have some bare spots on it.

The oddest event of the day was on trail #53 just past the bench there was a pick up truck right on the trail, probably someone went on a joyride last night and got stuck there.
