Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #50, Glide Wax: LF7, Grip Wax:

What a great day for skiing. I skated along #50 all the way to Smith Beach. Excellent grooming again. I hadn't rewaxed after yesterday's outing (LF7) but still had fairly good glide. Tracks for classic looked good (deep) for the most part - a little shallow in areas most exposed tot he sun - and there was no classic track here and there where there should have been. Overall very good though. Very little debris on the trail.
It was a little slow (granular) on the way back in sunny areas. A classic skier told me it was on the slow side for classicing.
Got to bask at Smith Beach for a while. How much better can it get? Chipmunks are out in droves and you can hear more birds. Spring is here.
Tomorrow morning should still be very good on #50. Enjoy while you can.
