Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, #1, #3, Glide Wax: Swix LF6 over graphite, Grip Wax: Swix VF30

It’s a day where you can decide whether you want creature comforts or fantastic skiing. Wrt to creature comforts, today involves light freezing drizzle that clouds the glasses in ten minutes and makes stopping cool and unpleasant. But, the snow conditions are glorious - fast and soft with everything required for complete control. The light rain seemed to give a special quality to the new snow. My classic route was:
P10 => FP => #1 => turned at bench by #2 => #1 => #3 => FP => P10
All the trails were perfectly trackset with soft classic tracks and a soft skating track. Burma was a special delight. Skating would be enjoyable but it’s really a day made for classic. In terms of snow conditions this was my best day of skiing this year!
