Gatineau Park
Trails Skied: Gatineau Pkwy , Fortune Pkwy, Champlain Pkwy, North Loop, Glide Wax: unknown, Grip Wax: unknown
Either there were some very great accumulations of blowing snow, or there is a typo on the Gatineau Park website. While the Gatineau parkway and North Loop were evidently groomed, the Fortune parkway seemed to have suffered from blowing snow accumulations ( making grooming unrecognizable),and Champlain , Fortune to the lookout seemed not groomed at all,as there were no machine made classic tracks.
Missing also were the throngs of people usually seen on Saturday. Perhaps a little wind kept them indoors?
Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
