Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Champlain Pkwy, MacKenzie-King Rd , Glide Wax: Vauhti blue, Grip Wax:

A short ski for me on a lovely afternoon with ever warming temperatures. I skated from MacKenzie King up to the "T" and back on fresh grooming. The base was pretty much concrete hard but the corduroy gave enough purchase to hold ones edge so it was fast skiing all the way. The classic tracks looked nice but I'd bet they are pretty abrasive and would need a good binder layer to hold the wax in place. Conditions should hold tomorrow as the warmer weather softens the snow. It might be a little bullet proof first thing in the morning but should get better as the sun shines down. Try to enjoy it before the predicted rains fall at the end of the week.
