Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: North Loop, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: VR 60 over a blue klister binder

Sometime between Garry's ski and mine, the classic tracks were groomed. It was great "Spring skiing"!! However the real story is the lack of accurate date information for skiers who rely on the park's ski conditions page. When I left home, the north loop and the Fortune Parkway classic trails were listed as groomed "2 days ago". That was not a pleasant prospect with the icy snow, daytime thaws and overnight hardening. Just now, at 4:00, they is listed as groomed "3 days ago". The truth is that it was groomed sometime after Garry skied this morning, something like 6 hours ago. It was fantastic! How many skiers stayed home because the web page was so misleading? Surely there is a way of indicating that a trail is about to be groomed? And, by the way, it will be really, really, really icy and unpleasant skiing there tomorrow (after the flash freeze) unless it is groomed again.
