Today was a totally mixed bag of conditions, but they were grooming so would likely be better by the time you are reading this.
Where groomed, it was awesome. Where not groomed, it was a very good test of balance and ski under the body.
Skied up Fortune (not groomed), Burma (wide but not groomed), Ridge (groomed), 1B (not groomed, Ridge (groomed), 24 (groomed), back on Ridge (groomed all the way to Gossip Corner), parkway (groomed).
...and then I caught and passed the groomer and was unfortunately back to skiing on really, really hard packed and groomved surface.
Likely much better by now.
Am still trying to figure out how the groomer got from 1/1B/33 to 24 without grooming that section of 1...
Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
