Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, North Loop, #1 Penguin Climb, #1, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: Vaughti Orange

P5 - Penguin - Ridge to Shilly Shally, diversion to top of Fortune, back via Fortune and North Loop.
Judging from Paul's photo he and I must have been skiing Ridge Road at the same time - I have almost an identical photo of the swamp! And indeed there is little to add to Ron's or Paul's reports. It was a beautiful afternoon with superb conditions.

One thing that I have been intending to mention since the weekend: As the snow creeps higher, there are now one or two eye-level branches beginning to appear beside some of the classic tracks (50, Ridge, Burma). It's a good idea to wear glasses and keep an eye out (as opposed to having one put out).

I also agree that snowfall amounts would be a most useful addition to the NCC ski conditions page. With the minimal information now submitted about the quality of the trails, fresh snowfall is valuable information.

Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery. The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
